Who are we
Hope's Anchor is a non-profit organisation formed to create a safe space for women and children to be surrounded by unconditional love, extravagant grace and hope for the soul. A place where they are taken out of their current environment of drugs, alcohol and sex work and taken into a haven of hope and safety. It is in this space where their dignity can be restored and they have the opportunity to walk into the rightful destiny that God has for them.
When people ask us "what do you do?", we respond, "whatever it takes".
We always show up. All cries will be heard and action will be taken. We will never give up.
We say things as they are. The only way we can truly make a difference and raise awareness is to speak truth.
First Thessalonians 5 teaches us that the responsibility of every Christian is to be discerning. “But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.”
"The police throw them out of the station because they are sexworkers and they 'asked' for it. No case opened. No sympathy. No justice."
The phrase “human trafficking” is ambiguous.
The phrase “human trafficking” is ambiguous and misunderstood. In reality, it is an act of violence. Human trafficking is forced sex work, physical and verbal abuse and the control over the innocent. It's time to make a change. We know how women are trafficked and we have the power to stop it from happening. With your help, we are determined to make a difference and bring change.
